8 - Travel Games?

I know, I know - who needs to play games while travelling? Isn't travel in itself a fun thing to do?

It sure is, but sometimes sitting on a train or bus for hours at a time, seeing the same landscape rolling past, can get a little tedious. So I like to play games with the people around me. Not only is it a great way to get to know others well, but it's an awesome way to make those long trips seem shorter!

One of my favourite memories is going on a field trip to a sound stage with my college class. It wasn't a very long trip - an hour tops - but we were leaving so early, and it was just one of those days. You know? So anyways, those of us at the back of the bust (there was about ten or so) decided to pass the time by playing Charades.

It's a pretty awesome game to play on its own by coming up with clues on your own, but we were using one of the Charades apps, and it made it even better. Especially considering all of the film and television categories that exist - I'm sure you can imagine how excited film students would be by these.

Trivia games are another good thing to play. There are all sorts of trivia cards that exist in the world, from movie trivia to history, that you can take with you on a trip. You can also have someone DJ for a group, and make you guess songs and artists just by the first few seconds of the song (we had a really great time doing this on our Contiki tour).

Are there any games you like to play while travelling? Let me know in the comments down below, and maybe I'll give them a try! Stay happy.
